Cindy Evans
Washington State Auditor's Office Cindy Evans is the manager of legal affairs for the State Auditor’s Office and graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 1997. She is a former assistant attorney general and has represented the Department of Revenue and the State Auditor’s Office prior to moving to her current position. She is the current chair of the state and local records (retention) committees.

Nancy Krier
Assistant Attorney General for Open Government Washington State Office of the Attorney General Ms. Krier is the Assistant Attorney General for Open Government (Ombuds), appointed following six years as the Public Disclosure Commission’s General Counsel. Prior to the PDC, Ms. Krier served in the AGO over 20 years, including as a Division Chief of the Licensing and Administrative Law Division, where she was also designated as a Senior Counsel. She was president of Washington Women Lawyers and the Government Lawyer Bar Association. Ms. Krier graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Dakota with journalism and political science majors. Ms. Krier also was a reporter. She earned her JD at the University of Washington, joining the Washington State Bar Association in 1986 and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts in Washington and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a frequent speaker on open government and disclosure topics. |
Russell Wood
State Records Manager Washington State Archives - Office of the Secretary of State Russell Wood has over 20 years’ experience in archives and records management in both his native Australia and Washington State. For the past 8 years, he has headed Washington State Archives program that provides advice, training, records retention schedules and other tools to state and local governments to help agencies to better manage the retention, destruction and archiving of public records. |
Timothy Grisham
Director of Communications, Washington County Officials (Session organizer) Timothy Grisham has been creating creative and informative government content for nearly fifteen years. Since returning to his home state in 2004, Timothy has served in a variety of roles in state and local government from the Department of Revenue, State Board of Health, and most currently as Director of Communications and Member Services at the Washington Association of County Officials. He holds a MA (Sociology of the Arts) from New York University, and attended Columbia, and the Evergreen State College. |
