Twitter continues to be a major social media channel that many in media and government use to continue to communicate. This session will teach you how to make the most of Twitter, and learn some of its new features and tricks.

@drewmikkelsenk5 Drew Mikkelsen started at KING 5 in 2006, and since then has interviewed Medal of Honor recipients, countless good Samaritans and world champions. Drew's highlights include covering historic events like the signing of the gay marriage bill, seeing the first I-502 license to grow pot issued and traveling to New York/New Jersey to cover the Seahawks domination in the Super Bowl. Drew grew up in San Francisco, but moved to Bellevue to finish high school at Newport HS, and graduated from the University of Washington. He worked in Yakima, Las Vegas and Portland before becoming KING's South Bureau Chief. |
Chase Gallagher
Gov. Inslee’s Media Manager, Office of Gov. Jay Inslee Chase Gallagher is a member of Gov. Jay Inslee’s communications staff, with an extensive background in strategic political communications. Chase’s state service has included communications positions at the House of Representatives and State Senate, and the Department of Ecology’s Southwest Regional office. Chase has managed and consulted for local, legislative, statewide and congressional campaigns in Washington, California and Georgia. Chase also moonlights as a pub trivia host, and a member of President Obama’s advance team. Chase grew up in Shelton, and graduated from South Puget Sound Community College and the University of Washington, and currently lives in downtown Olympia. |
